What is glaucoma?

Glaucoma is a disease generally where the pressure within the eye is higher for the individual. This can damage the optic nerve, and if left untreated, may result in significant vision loss or blindness.Often, the symptoms are not noticeable until later when damage to the eye has already occurred. Early detection allows intervention to manage and slow down this progressive disease.
